Megalurulus whitneyiMegalurulus, the thicketbirds, are a genus of songbirds. Previously placed in the "Old World Warbler" family Sylviidae, they does not seem to be a close relative of the typical warblers. More probably, they belong in the newly-recognized grass-warbler family Locustellidae.
This genus contains the following species:
- New Caledonia Thicketbird or New Caledonia Grassbird, Megalurulus mariei
- Bismarck Thicketbird, Megalurulus grosvenori
- Bougainville Thicketbird, Megalurulus llaneae
- Guadalcanal Thicketbird, Megalurulus whitneyi
- Rusty Thicketbird, Megalurulus rubiginosus
