Meek, 1902The Matalote Conchos (Catostomus conchos) is a species of ray-finned fish in the Catostomidae family.
Habitat
The Matalote Conchos can be found in China, northeast Siberia, North America. This family may be found in fresh water environments from 70° n to 18° s and 180° w to 130° e.[citation needed]
Physical features
The Matalote Conchos have pharyngeal teeth in a single row of at least 16 teeth. Their lips usually thick and fleshy with plicae or papillae. The Matalote Conchos is known to have premaxilla and maxilla usually bordering their upper jaw. They also can exhibit some tetraploidy. The Matalote Conchos are normally 1 m maximum length, usually below 60 cm.
