Leo Armand Paquette (born
July 15 ,1934 ) is an American organic chemist. He received hisPh.D. in 1959 from theMassachusetts Institute of Technology and has been aProfessor (laterDistinguished Professor ) of Chemistry at theOhio State University since 1969. He is the author of over 1000 papers and has also edited works such as theEncyclopedia of Reagents for Organic Synthesis andOrganic Reactions . He is perhaps best known for completing the first synthesis ofdodecahedrane . [cite journal
