Scott McMahon (born 2 June 1986) is an
Australian Rules football player currently on the roster of the North Melbourne Kangaroos.McMahon played for
Woodville-West Torrens Football Club in theSANFL in South Australia before being rookie-listed for theKangaroos at number 38 in theAFL NAB Rookie Draft . He spent all of 2006 in the VFL playing forTasmanian Devils Football Club and in 2005 he played forPort Melbourne Football Club reserves.2007
McMahon was elevated for 2007 off the rookie list permanently. He made his debut against
Carlton Football Club in Round 8 of the season and had 13 disposals. After the match againstMelbourne Football Club he was dropped back to the VFL. He was included as an emergency several times before he came back for the Round 13 clash against theWestern Bulldogs . In that match he kicked two goals and was rated "one of the Roos' rising midfielders" by the media. He played the next week against Richmond and again kicked two goals, matching his previous week's performance. He was rated byDean Laidley as "the best young player we got for nothing". For his performance in that game, he won the Round 14AFL Rising Star nomination.Career Stats
