David P. SmithWebsite www.claygeorge.com Clay George is a Canadian singer-songwriter.
Clay George began writing and singing songs from the age of 5. His parents got him an old Wurlitzer piano to practice on, an amp, a microphone, his father's guitars, and he was all set. He is more of fan of songs or even parts of songs than individual musicians or songwriters. However, when it comes to influences, one can hear fragments of Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Tom Waits.
Clay has lived in Victoria, British Columbia since 2005, but also spent some time in Austin, Texas.
Albums include Clay George (2002), and Cherry Bank Hotel (2006). He has also appeared on recordings by Carolyn Mark, and David P. Smith.
