In his collegiate career, he played for the San Diego State. After his junior year, he declared himself eligible for 2006 NBA Draft and hired an agent (Dan Fegan), but was not selected by any team. He played for Los Angeles Lakers summer league team, but wasn't signed by the club. He is known for his high athletic abilities.
Professional career
He moved overseas to play in Turkey, for Pınar Karşıyaka. He had a productive season with İzmir side, averaged 13.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 2.3 steals. He was also named MVP of the 2007 Turkish All-Star game. Then he was signed a two-year contract with the Miami Heat in June 2007, but was released October 29, 2007.
For the 2007/08 season he has signed for Hapoel Jerusalem B.C. in Israel and has been linked with Turkish Champion Fenerbahçe Ülker. He later transferred to BCM Gravelines Dunkerque in France after being released by Jerusalem.
Slaughter played for the German club Eisbären Bremerhaven in the 2008/09 season, he signed a one-year contract.
In August 2009, he signed a two-year contract with the French Pro A team, SLUC Nancy Basket.
On July 27, 2010 he signed with CB Valladolid.[1]
In July 2011 he signed with Brose Baskets Bamberg in Germany.[2]
