"King James Version", originally released by
Sire Recordson September 12, 2000, is the second full-length albumby alternative rockband Harvey Danger. Although it garnered critical acclaim, it failed to produce a hit song, unlike the earlier " Where Have All The Merrymakers Gone?". After the release of "King James Version", the band took a three-year hiatus.
The album is characterized by a polished and energetic
indie rockstyle and lyrics laden with historical, literary, and pop cultural allusions.
