Athanasios Kanakaris-Roufos (Greek: Αθανάσιος Κανακάρης-Ρούφος, 1830-1902) was a Greek politician from Achaea. He ran for mayor of the city of Patras.
He was of Benizelos Rouphos and brother of Georgios Roufos, descended from the famous Roufos family. Together with his brother, he think that the reformation of Patras. During his time as mayor, he changed Patras into a dignified city, he ran a gaslight company in Krya Itea, he soiled the olives southwest of downtown, opened roads and constructed Omonoia Square, he ran public schools, the Markato market and brought the union of suburbs with the city with the construction of the race track. He died in 1902. He raised two sons Loukas Kanakaris-Roufos and Vasileios Roufos.
