Tri-Rail station in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County,Florida .The new Boca Raton Station officially opened on November 4, 2005 following a 13-day service disruption caused by
Hurricane Wilma . It is located on the south side of Yamato Road(SR 794), just east of Congress Avenue and west of I-95. The old station (now demolished) was located on Northwest 53rd Street, north of Yamato Road and east of Congress Avenue and had opened January 1989.Boca Raton Station is the southernmost Tri-Rail station in Palm Beach County. Both parking and shopping are available adjacent to this station. A second Boca Raton station (two miles to the south, near the I-95 interchange with Glades Road) was announced by SFRTA in 2000 to be opened at the same time as the Congress Avenue station, but construction of the Glades station never began, and all mentions of the proposed station were removed from all Tri-Rail route signs and literature in 2006.
