The etymology of the word "Jarwar" has been debated since its inception as the name of the tribe. It has has no plural. There is not any proof in the verses of history about the inception of this name but the decedents of people of Jarwar often say that it means "people who have clothes" as per according to Persian Language and it also does not mean "people who eat clothes" as many people consider this word because of its Balochi Language meaning which stands as "Jar" for (Clothes) and "War" for (people who eat).
Another possible meaning of Jarwar is that, it is a combination of two
Sindhi words, "Jar" which means "water" and other is "War" which means "involved in the management", therefore Jarwar in entirety means "people involved in or responsible for management of water for arigation purposes.Speaking Languages

Jarwar is one of the oldest sub-tribes of Marri. In the initial decades of 19th century, they started to migrate from the barren hilly areas of Koh-e-Marri to the plain lands of
Sibi , Naseerabad andJacobabad in search of better life and to keep themselves safe from the ongoing disputes of different sub-tribes ofMarri among each other. This tendency was extremely followed by the next generations of Jarwar tribe in the next decades of 19th century to date. After the first migration from the their native land, they did not unite on their selection of next destinations; and soon separated from each other in the form of groups and went in different directions and routs.Communities
