Federal Correctional Institution, Edgefield

Edgefield Federal Correctional Institution also known as Federal Correctional Institution, Edgefield, is a medium security federal prison for men located in Edgefield, South Carolina.The facility is located on the border between South Carolina and Georgia on highway 25, and is served by airports in Augusta, Georgia and Columbia.

The facility was opened in November 1998, has the capacity to house 960 inmates, and has a staff of around 400.
