"Zero" is a song by the Christian group Hawk Nelson, from their album Smile, It's The End of the World. The song itself is about someone Jason Dunn, the vocalist for Hawk Nelson, knew who committed suicide. The song was released as a single on May 30th 2007 in the USA and Canada. The single was the 15th most played song in 2007 on Christian Hit Radio stations in the United States according to R&R magazine. Some versions of the song like the one on Hawk Nelson's Myspace page are only 4:10 long and miss out the speaking part of the song by Dunn which sums up the song and talks about the effects of the person's suicide.

Video

The music video begins with an ambulance siren and then cuts to a girl who picks up a telephone and then sinks down against a wall with her head in her hands. The scene fades to black, and Jason Dunn appears at a piano, surrounded by a circle of words written on the ground. Throughout the video, people are shown with statements next to them, such as "I don't take people for granted anymore," "I stopped cutting myself," and "I started talking to my dad again" -- the person's death had the impact to change their views on things in life. It also features Dunn's band members playing their instruments.
