ORSYP edits and sells software, and their flagship product is called Dollar Universe, a job scheduler which automates jobs, tasks and processes in IT environments with various operating systems and applications.[1] ORSYP also edits and sells UniJob, a cron and WinAT task scheduler that helps discover, consolidate, centralize, and standardize IT house-keeping and maintenance tasks.
ORSYP was founded in 1986 in Paris, France as a consulting house for IT operations management. From the consulting activities, the company became aware of a need for new software with more functionality, and so it created its own software.[2] ORSYP has since expanded and now has subsidiaries in Europe, Asia and the Americas.[3]
Industry researchers assert that ORSYP’s job scheduling software is dominant in the French market[1], has a large following in Europe[1], and is gaining ground in American markets with Fortune Global 500 accounts.[4]
ORSYP is a partner of ITSMF[5] and promotes ITIL practices through its consulting and training activities.[6]
