The Cultural Arts Playhouse is a small theater in Plainview on Long Island, New York. They have classes and camps for children.

The main location for Cultural Arts Playhouse is 625 Old Country Road; they also operate a studio theatre in Roslyn Heights, NY. The playhouse was previously located at 714 Old Bethpage Road in nearby Old Bethpage, NY and moved to its new location in early 2008 after thirteen years in Old Bethpage.

Cultural Arts Playhouse was founded in 1995 by Bruce Grossman. Named by the Long Island Press as Long Island's best live theatre, 2007, the playhouse is a year-round regional off-off Broadway theatre that has produced over 250 productions including educational and touring shows. The theatre serves more than 20,000 people each year with its professional Mainstage productions which have included titles such as "Grease", 42nd Street, Annie and The Sound of Music, Children's Theatre shows such as The Wizard of Oz, 101 Dalmatians and Honk! and theatre education classes for ages 7-18. The classes stage shows under their Young People's Theatre (YPT) banner, featuring students in the roles. With the theatre's 2008 move to Plainview, a Second Stage program, featuring smaller musicals and plays, has been added to their season. CAP also produces shows in affiliation with the Long Island Children's Museum in Garden City, NY. Recent CAP/LICM productions have included High School Musical and Seussical.

Along with its Musical Theatre and Acting Academy (MTAA) and Young People's Theatre (YPT), more than 2000 students have had the opportunity to learn from some of the finest instructors in the New York area. With the over 150 years of the combined experience of its staff, many of CAP's students have been able to use their CAP experience and talents to do professional theatre, recordings, television and film. Jamie-Lynn Sigler, co-star of HBO's "The Sopranos" as well as Brian D'Addario and Marissa McGowan of the revival of "Les Miserables" on Broadway are CAP Center and CAP MTAA alumni. CAP maintains a website at www.culturalartsplayhouse.com.
