Bangor, Maine , Britton earned a BA incomputer science fromUniversity of Maine in 1989, an SM from theMIT Media Lab in 1991, and a JD fromBoston University School of Law in 1994. He is the only Medialab alum ever to become a practicinglawyer .Britton founded and co-published one of the first ever
