Gameplay

Similar to modern fighting games such as Capcom's Street Fighter II and SNK's Fatal Fury: King of Fighters, the focus of the game is one-on-one fights versus giant enemies. Several of said enemies are references to or bosses in other Konami games, such as Gradius and its spin-off, Salamander. When playing two-player mode, both players can team up to do secret special moves.

Plot

The three main characters are Kotetsu, Anne and Eagle, members of the "Ultimate Task Force." A trio of dastardly villains unleash a swarm of ("the world's greatest threats", as referred to be) monsters to terrorize each populace, one by one, sending our three heroes on a mission to end this beast-sized disaster once and for all.

Characters

  • Kotetsu - a martial artist hailing from Japan; a balanced type
  • Anne - a fighter hailing from UK; a speed type
  • Eagle - a pro-wrestler hailing from America; a power type
