David Levin Occupation CEO, UBM plc David Levin is a British businessman and CEO of UBM plc.[1][2]
As a child, Levin lived in Harare, Zimbabwe. His father was a political journalist, and when Levin was two, the family were given a day to leave the country in 1965.[3] In consequence he has expressed his gratitude to the opportunities given him to him in his adopted country, and about the advantages of immigration.[3] He attended St Paul's School in London.[3] Levin has a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University (1983), and an MBA from Stanford University (1984).[1]
Levin is currently CEO of UBM plc, having succeeded Clive Hollick on April 5 2005. He was previously CEO of Symbian plc from April 2002 and he held senior positions at Psion, Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, Apax Partners, Universal Grinding Wheels of Stafford and Bain & Company.[1][2][3]
Levin is married and has three sons.[3] He is on the finance committee of the Oxford University Press.[1]
