The Crack Rock Steady 7 is a band of seven musicians of the
Crack Rock Steady scene inNew York City , most of which are the current members ofLeftöver Crack . The members of the Crack Rock Steady 7 also made up bands such asChoking Victim , Morning Glory,INDK ,Niño Zombi ,Star Fucking Hipsters ,No Commercial Value , andReprenize . They get the name from the pre-reggae genrerocksteady , and their obsession withcrack cocaine . The Crack Rock Steady 7 have had one release under that name, A split album entitled "Baby Jesus Sliced Up in the Manger" with bandF-minus .Leftöver Crack sometimes play under the guise of the Crack Rock Steady 7 at venues where Leftöver Crack has been banned.Today, the CRS7 generally refers to two different entities: the first being

They also, like many other bands in thepunk scene , have stronganti-police sentiments in their songs.
