The station is located adjacent to Machida Station of the Odakyū Odawara Line.
History
The station was opened as nihongo|Haramachida Station|原町田駅|Haramachida-eki on September 23, 1908 by Yokohama Railway, a predecessor of the Yokohama Line. The station was moved 0.4 km toward Hachiōji and renamed Machida on April 1, 1980. [teishajo|II|pp. 77-78]
Ridership
