Bonamy's first musical performance was in a program called "Country Music USA" at the
Opryland USA theme park inNashville, Tennessee . In 1995, he was signed toEpic Records , and his debut album, "What I Live to Do", was released a year later. The first single, "Dog on a Toolbox", was withdrawn before it reached the Top 60, as the label had decided that too many songs about dogs were already in rotation on radio.
