The State of East Indonesia (Indonesian: Negara Indonesia Timur) was a post-World War II establishment of a government over the former Dutch territory of the eastern Netherlands East Indies. It was established on 24 December 1946 and dissolved on 17 August 1950, in the process of the establishment of the modern Indonesia.
