Noelle Scaggs (born c. 1979) is a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles. As a singer for soul band Fitz and The Tantrums, she has toured extensively in the United States and abroad, and has performed on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, on TBS' Conan and on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Biography

She was the lead vocalist for soul band The Rebirth, and has also featured on recordings by other artists, including The Black Eyed Peas, Dilated Peoples, M.E.D of Stones Throw Records, Quantic, Defari, and The Lions of Ubiquity Records.^{[citation needed]}

In 2003 she released her first 12" single, "The Craft" (featuring hip-hop trio Dilated Peoples), on Up Above Records.

In 2005 The Rebirth released their first album This Journey In on independent label Kajmere Sound. The first single, "This Journey In", hit the top 5 of many playlist throughout Europe and Japan,^{[citation needed]} as well as attracting the attention of DJs such as BBC Radio 1's Gilles Peterson, King Britt of the group Digable Planets, and Norman Jay MBE.^{[citation needed]}

In July 2008 she performed in four shows on Scion's "Live Metro" tour featuring hardcore rap duo, M.O.P., while funk band Connie Price and the Keystones, including sax-player James King (later also of Fitz and The Tantrums), provided backing.

In 2008 she joined the band Fitz and The Tantrums, performing for the first time with them at Hollywood's Hotel Café in December of that year.

Noelle Scaggs has a Facebook page where she interacts with and posts pictures of herself with fans.^[1]

Scaggs has been critically acclaimed for her "powerhouse vocals"^[2] and charismatic on-stage presence.^[3][4]
