Eforie (pronounced|e.fo.'ri.e, _gr. Εφορία) is a town and a holiday resort on the Black Sea shore, in Constanţa County, Romania. It is located about 14 kilometers south of Constanţa. The Techirghiol Lake can be found nearby.

History

Eforie results in a city by merging of Băile Movile (nowdays Eforie Sud) with the actual north part of the city.Băile Movile was founded by the noble Ion Movila in 1899, when the Movila Hotel was build.

Education

"Carmen Sylva" High School, the city only high school (there is only a high school and a general school in Eforie) is one of the most high ranked high schools in the county.

Sports

Beasides many summer sports, as beach football, there is a football club named CS Eforie, playing in Liga III.
