Mel Dixon

Mel (Melissa) Dixon (born 1980) is an Australian contemporary poet, editor and naturopath.

Born in Tenterfield, New South Wales, Australia, Mel Dixon grew up in various country Queensland towns, moving to Brisbane to attend the Australian College of Natural Medicine. Her poetry has appeared online and in Australian journals and publications. She is best known as a member of Brisbane spoken word collective Speedpoets, as well as the editor of independent poetry and arts magazine Miel.

Mel lived and worked in London for 2 years between 2007 and 2009, she is currently living in Melbourne, Victoria.[citation needed]
