Daraa District

Daraa District

Dar'a District (Arabic: منطقة درعا‎) is a Syrian district (mantiqah) administratively belonging to Daraa Governorate. At the 2004 Census it had a population of 428,681. Its capital city is the city of Daraa. Anti-government protests were staged there on 22 March 2011 and subsequent dates.
