Alaminos is a 4th class municipality in the province of Laguna,
Philippines . According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 36,120 people in 7,466 households. It has a land area of 21.11 square miles and is situated 48.5 miles southeast ofManila . Located at northeast of Sto. Tomas inBatangas Province , south of Calauan and Bay , and west ofSan Pablo City .Barangays

Alaminos began as a barrio of
San Pablo City , which was then only a town belonging to the province ofBatangas . It was re-annexed as barrio of San Pablo which was then ceded to the province of Laguna in 1902. It was not until about 1916 that Alaminos regained its status as a town and remained within the political territory of Laguna.External links
