This list includes famous biblical quotations that are now used in popular culture throughout the world.

Old Testament

* The Lord will make you the head, not the tail (Deuteronomy 28: 13)
* Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless. (Ecclesiastes 1: 2)
* There is a time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
* Be happy while you are young (Ecclesiastes 11: 9)
* Do not awaken love until it so desires (Song of Songs 2: 7)
* The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge (Proverbs 1: 7)
* Do not be wise in your own eyes (Proverbs 3: 7)
* Pride goes before destruction and haughtiness before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)
* A prudent wife is from the Lord (Proverbs 19: 14)
* Laziness brings on deep sleep (Proverbs 19: 15)
* Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. (Proverbs 19: 21)

New Testament

* Do not judge, so that you may not be judged (Matthew 7: 1)
