Illinois Wesleyan University at Bloomington in 1897.He was admitted to the bar in 1897 and commenced practice inBloomington, Illinois . City attorney of Bloomington 1907-1911.He was an unsuccessful candidate for election in 1910 to the Sixty-second Congress.Fitzhenry was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-third Congress (
March 4 ,1913 -March 3 ,1915 ).He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1914 to the Sixty-fourth Congress.He resumed the practice of law in Bloomington.He was an unsuccessful candidate for election as a justice of the State supreme court in 1915.He was appointed United States district judge for the southern district of IllinoisJuly 1 ,1918 , serving untilOctober 3 ,1933 , when he was appointed a judge of the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Seventh District, in which capacity he served until his death inNormal, Illinois ,November 18 ,1935 .He was interred in Bloomington Cemetery,Bloomington, Illinois .References
