Thessaly ,Greece . The mountain is a part of thePindus mountain range. The GR-6/E92 is to the south, theVia Egnatia (Igoumenitsa -Kozani -Thessaloniki -Alexandroupoli ) runs through the mountain ranges with a couple of tunnels in which construction started in the late-1990s and continued until the mid-2000s and the GR-15 (Kalambaka -Grevena -Siatista and runs in the east-central portion and the GR-6 (Igoumenitsa - Ioannina -Trikala -Larissa ) runs in the southwest. Its maximum elevation is 1,416 m. Its length is approximately 40 to 50 km from east to west and its width is approximately 15 to 20 km from north to south. The Pineios river which flows in the southwest.The mountain range owes its name to a municipality in the western
