Stardom Stakes

The Stardom Stakes is a Listed flat horse race in the United Kingdom open to two-year-old thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 1 mile (1,609 metres) at Goodwood Racecourse, and it takes place annually in September.

It was first run in 1978 and was initially titled the Westhampnett Stakes. This was changed to the Chromacopy Stakes in 1983. The present name was introduced when the race was promoted to Listed status in 1987. Notable runners have included Selkirk (winner in 1990), Almutawakel (second in 1997), and Fantastic Light (third in 1998).
