2002 European Figure Skating Championships

2002 European Figure Skating Championships

The European Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition in which elite figure skaters compete for the title of European Champion. Skaters compete in the categories of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing.

The 2002 Championships were held at the Malley Ice Rink in Lausanne, Switzerland from January 14th through. The event was open to skaters belonging to a European member nation of the International Skating Union. The corresponding competition for non-European skaters was the 2002 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships.

The first compulsory dance was the Ravensburger Waltz. The second was Blues. Due to the large number of participants, the ladies and men's qualifying groups were split into groups A and B.
