About Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School

Brisbane is one and a quarter hours north, and Byron Bay thirty-five kilometres south. The Gold Coast Airport at Coolangatta is ten minutes from the school.

Lindisfarne is a modern school in the Anglican tradition which provides a NSW education on the Gold Coast. It is committed to the art and habit of life-long learning and preparing students for their role in the professional and cultural life of contemporary Australia.

It is the leading Anglican co-educational school serving the Tweed Coast and southern Gold Coast and is the only Grammar School based on or near the Gold Coast.

Located in Terranora in the Tweed Valley hinterland, the School overlooks the Terranora Broadwater and out to the Pacific Ocean.

Lindisfarne provides a complete education for close to 1,100 students from Pre-school to Year 12. Established in 1981 as a small Anglican primary school, Lindisfarne expanded to Middle and Senior School in 1994 and built a new campus at Mahers Lane, Terranora in 1996.

Lindisfarne has a three-school structure: a Junior School - Pre-school to Year 4, a Middle School - Years 5 to 8, and Senior School - Years 9 to 12.

While close to the Queensland border, Lindisfarne is distinctly a NSW school; it is registered and accredited by the NSW Board of Studies. We offer the six key learning areas in the primary school and the eight key learning areas in secondary leading to the award of the NSW Higher School Certificate in Year 12.

The school excels in the performing arts and sport. In addition it emphasises academic achievement and structured programs in literacy. These extend from early literacy in the Pre-school to tertiary literacy in Years 11 and 12.
