TID

TID is a three-letter acronym that may refer to:

* Tag identification memory, in a Gen 2 RFID tag, this consists of memory about the tag itself, such as the tag ID.
*Terminal Identification Number - A number linked to a POS terminal that can be used to identify the merchant - Used during Credit card Transaction processing.
*Thermionic Detector - A detector used in gas chromatography based on the principle of ionization and measuring a change in electron flux.
* Total Ionizing Dose (related to ionizing radiation). Usually measured in grays (Gy).
* from Latin phrase "ter in die" which means thrice-daily dosage
* Tuple Identifier - Used in database related technology for tuple addressing inside segments in method called TID/Overflow. It's composed as page identifier and relative byteadress (RBA) of tuple inside this page.
* Touch input device – a general term meaning a touchscreen, touchpad and the like.
* Tamper-Indicating Device - A seal designed to leave non-erasable, unambiguous evidence of unauthorized access or entry.
* 'Take it down' - said to someone of a tournament, usually a poker tournament.
