state park inTexas ,United States and is located in Jackson County, halfway between Houston and Corpus Christi onLake Texana .The park was acquired by a 50-year lease agreement with the Bureau of Reclamation/Lavaca-Navidad River Authority in 1977 and was opened in September 1981.
The majority of the park land consists of mixed
oak andpecan woodlands.White-tailed deer ,squirrel s,rabbit s,armadillo s, andraccoon s are numerous. There are occasional sightings ofbobcat s andwild turkey s.Alligator s are also found in the park.External links
