- Julian Croft
Julian Croft (born 31 May, 1941 in
Merewether ,New South Wales ) is anAustralia n poet. He was raised inNewcastle, New South Wales and educated there at Newcastle Boy's High School and Newcastle University, where he completed a Master of Arts. His MA research was onKenneth Slessor and Fitzgerald.Croft travelled in Africa and Europe before returning to Australia. Then he worked as a lecturer at the University of New England (
Armidale , NSW, Australia) from 1970 to his retirement in 2002. Croft is presently Emeritus Professor in the School of English, Communication and Theatre at UNE.
