Kathryn Casey

Kathryn Casey is a true crime writer, a novelist and award-winning journalist. Ann Rule has called Kathryn Casey "one of the best in the true crime genre," and Edgar Award Winner Carlton Stowers has said, "Casey is among the elite in true crime writers." She's appeared on Oprah, Montel, CourtTV and A&E. Specializing in books set in her home state of Texas, Casey's published books include:

Recently turning to fiction, Casey's first novel, "Singularity", is scheduled for publication in June 2008. The work's main character, Sarah Armstrong, is a Texas Ranger and a criminal profiler, on the trial of a deviant serial killer. Casey is also currently at work on her fifth true crime book, "A Descent into Hell", which covers the 2005 murder and mutilation of Jennifer Cave by University of Texas student Colton Pitonyak.

In addition to writing books, Casey has contributed to numerous national magazines including "Ladies' Home Journal", "TV Guide", "Rolling Stone", "Seventeen", "Reader's Digest", and "Texas Monthly". Over her twenty-year career as a magazine journalist, Casey interviewed many celebrities, including movie, television, and recording stars, presidents and first ladies. She covered subjects that ranged from the Oklahoma City bombing, the aftermath of 9/11, and Hurricane Katrina, to infertility and the McCaughey Septuplets. Kathryn Casey lives in Houston, Texas with her husband.
