Michael Glozman

Michael Glozman (born January 18, 1972) is an Israeli composer, music arranger, singer and conductor. Born in the Soviet Union (Frunze, Kyrgyz SSR), he was educated in music at the prestigious Sveshnikov Choir Academy in Moscow and at the Rubin Conservatory in Tel Aviv.

Activity

After making aliyah in 1991, he composed musical scores for numerous plays on the Israeli stage, among them “The Last Devil”, “The Old Woman and the Magician” (Malenky Theater), “Woman of the Sands” (Theater Zero). He has also achieved success as an actor, singer, and music director having collaborated with The New Israeli Opera, the “Zamarei Filharmonia” choir, the Gesher Theater, the well-known school for performing arts Beit-Zvi, the Arabic-Hebrew Theater, the “People and Puppets” Theater, and many others.

Genre

Michael Glozman has enjoyed the musical and cultural aspects of the traditional Jewish liturgy. Since moving to Israel, and along with his broad involvement with theater and opera, Michael has worked with the best Israeli cantors as singer, arranger, and conductor. Among them are Isaac Meir Helfgot, Naftali Herschtik, Moshe Shtern, Sol Zim, Chaim Adler, Ben-Zion Miller, Israel Rand, Moshe Shulhov, Yaakov Mozen, Israel Zinger, and others. He is constantly involved in recording projects with various performing groups under such conductors as Dr. Mordechai Sobol, Eli Yaffe, Naftali Herschtik, and many others.
