From the west, LA 624 travels east-southeasterly from intersection with LA 46 in Yscloskey. It runs eastward along the north banks of
Bayou La Loutre . After about four miles, the bayou and road turn north-northeastward. Both end about a mile later at a U.S. Coast Guard Station near theMississippi River Gulf Outlet .LA 624 is an undivided, two lane highway for its entire length.
