St. Joseph Engineering College

St. Joseph Engineering College is an engineering school in Vamanjoor, Mangalore, India. It was established in 2002.Its a unit of the Catholic Diocese of Mangalore, which is a minority Religious and Charitable Trust. It is affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum and approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and Karnataka State Government. The college was officially inaugurated on the 19th of March 2003, the feast of the Patron St. Joseph by Ivan Cardinal Dias, Mumbai and presided over by Dr. Ignatius Pinto, Archbishop of Bangalore.

Location

St. Joseph Engineering College campus spread over an area of 25 acres, is located at Vamanjoor about 10 km to the East of Mangalore City centre, which is well connected by train, road and air services. Local city & service Bus Service is available every 5 minutes from the city centre to the college campus along the National Highway towards Moodbidri Via Kulshekar.

Courses offered

The College offers the following courses under Bachelor Of Engineering Degree (B.E) program
* Computer Science & Engineering.
* Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
* Electronics and Communication Engineering.
* Information Science & Engineering (introduced in 2007.
* Mechanical Engineering.

In August 2007, the College also started offering courses for Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
