Woodside High School is an American public high school located in Woodside on the border with Redwood City, California. It is part of the Sequoia Union High School District.

History

Serving students from the surrounding communities of Portola Valley, Woodside, East Palo Alto and Redwood City. Was once noted for having the largest student parking lot of any High School.It has a large Performing Arts Center, which was built by Fall of 2004.

Robotics

Woodside is the home to FIRST Robotics [http://www.team100.org/ Team #100] , the Wildhats. The team is noted to have won the 1995 National FIRST competition, and to have won regionals in 1999, 2007, and 2008.

Mascot: Wildcat.School Colors: orange, black and white.The school's football team is noted for winning the California Interscholastic Federation's Central Coast Section title in 2005.

Demographics

1,928 students were enrolled at Woodside during the 2006-2007 year with a demographic split primarily between Hispanic and White ethnicity. [http://data1.cde.ca.gov/dataquest/DQReports.asp?CDSType=S&CDSCode=41690624138053&lPage=P California Department of Education - Dataquest] ] The majority of students who live in Woodside proper do not attend the school due to racial issues, so much of the school population is drawn from North Fair Oaks and East Palo Alto.
