Francisco Javier Casquero Paredes, Casquero (born March 11, 1976 in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo), is a Spanish footballer who currently plays for Getafe CF of the Spanish first division. His usually operates as a central midfielder, being the owner of a tremendously powerful shot.

After helping Sevilla FC achieve "La Liga" promotion in 2000-01, Casquero went on to become one of the Andalusia side's most effective players, also helping in the team's top flight consolidation, with two sixth-places from 2003-05 (although he appeared scarcely in the second).

After that, he was deemed surplus to requirements and joined Racing de Santander, where he played one season, with 5 league goals. Already a veteran, Casquero moved, in 2006-07, to Madrid's Getafe CF, quickly becoming an undisputed starter and being instrumental in the side's UEFA Cup quarterfinal run, with Casquero netting in that stage against Bayern Munich.
