Strumpshaw is a

Norfolk Broads . Because of its elevation, Strumpshaw hosted, from the late 1790s through to the mid 1810s, a repeater station in the shutter telegraph chain linking the Admiralty in London with Great Yarmouth.Strumpshaw Hall lies closer to the river, next to the railway line. It is the home of aSteam Museum , with a collection of engines, tractors and other items.Strumpshaw Fen is a nature reserve in the care of theRoyal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), and part ofMid-Yare NNR National Nature Reserve . It lies between theYare and the Norwich toGreat Yarmouth railway line.Geography
