State Route 116 is a ten-mile long route in the western part of the state. The western terminus of the route is at its junction with State Route 17 north of Emelle in Sumter County. The eastern terminus of the route is at its junction with State Route 39 at Gainesville.

Route description

State Route 116 was established in 1963, replacing Sumter County Road 26. It serves as a connecting route between the northern half of the county and neighboring Greene County. It is a two-lane route for its entirety, and passes through no cities or towns until its terminus.
