Gongliao or Gungliau (zh-tpwpl|t=貢寮鄉|p=Gòngliáo Xiāng|w=Kung4-liao2-hsiang1|poj=Khong-liâu-hiong, Khong-á-liâu-hiong|l=gift hut) is a rural township in the eastern part of
Taipei County ,Taiwan Province of theRepublic of China . Thefourth nuclear power plant is under construction in Gongliao. However, the majority of the residents strongly oppose the construction. The area of the township is approximately 99.97square kilometers . There are about 14,077 people living in the township.Aodi
Aodi (sometimes Audi, Aoti, Auti) is a small fishing village in
Gongliao Township ,Taipei County , in the Northeast corner of the island ofTaiwan . It is a popular tourist destination owing to its scenic setting and many seafood restaurants. It is also close to the controversial Fourth Nuclear Power Plant (FNPP), under construction since 1996. A nearby beach, Yenliao, was the site of the first landing for the occupation of Taiwan (Formosa) by Japanese forces (1895).Attractions
