Eoin Kelly (born 1982 in Waterford City) is a famous Irish hurler who plays for both the Waterford senior inter-county hurling team and club hurling for Passage GAA. Eoin had previously represented Mount Sion GAA at both underage and senior grade before transferring to Passage GAA in 2007.

Playing career

Having represented Waterford at minor and under-21 level, Kelly made his championship debut for the Waterford senior hurling team against Cork on 26 May 2002. He won his first Munster Championship medal the following month, scoring three points as Waterford defeated reigning All-Ireland champions Tipperary by 2-23 to 3-12. Kelly's best match of the 2002 season was the All-Ireland semi-final against Clare, where a Brian Lohan inspired Clare won by three points. Kelly won his first (and, to date, only) All-Star that year.

He went on to win further Munster senior medals in 2004 (scoring a goal in the final against Cork) and 2007.

Club

Eoin Kelly won 5 Waterford senior hurling championship medals, and a Munster club medal (in 2002), with Mount Sion before moving on to his new club, Passage, in 2007. In his first year with Passage, he scored the winning point as they beat Dungarvan in the Waterford Intermediate Hurling Championship final.
