Recent Performance
The following are the percentage of pupils achieving 5 A*-C grades at
GCSE upon leaving the school in recent years. (Including English and Maths) [ [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/education/06/school_tables/secondary_schools/html/320_4075.stm BBC NEWS | Education | League Tables | Kelmscott School ] ]These scores are below both the local (roughly 33-38%) and national average (roughly 41-46%).
Over the past few years performance has been increasing in most subjects which is not shown by the above figures since they include English and Maths. Following the criticisms of the school's
Ofsted report in 2002 the school has also tried to expand the choices of vocational subjects. The current management has also tried to lower the staff turnover rate in response to the Ofsted report.External links
