Community Schools Project
In 2004, it was decided by the Scottish Executive that that eight local schools, including Denny High School, would be given the chance of rebuilding or refurbishment. The school was rebuilt on the Herbertshire Playing Fields on the eastern outskirts of Denny, a few minutes from the town centre.
The construction work of the new school started in October 2006. This was completed in February 2009.
Wider Access To Schools Project (WASP)
The WASP project offers extra education to the adult population of the Falkirk area. Such classes include skill-building events to do with creativity, technology and catering. The project, which has now been running for several years, attracts some 320 students annually, and encourages parents to use the service by offering a crèche. The project requires a small fee to cover administration and material costs, but is non-profit.
