Silverthrone Caldera , but scientific study has been very limited due to its extremely remote location. Its relationship to volcanism caused by theCascadia subduction zone (ie. the Cascade Volcanic Arc) has not been firmly established. However, thePemberton Volcanic Belt is usually merged with theGaribaldi Volcanic Belt and so it is usually part of the arc.Franklin Glacier Volcano lies within the
Coast Plutonic Complex which is the single largest contiguousgranite outcropping in the world, extending approximately 1,800 kilometers on the coast ofBritish Columbia , southwesternYukon and southeasternAlaska .Location map
