Artful Dodger in the 1963 production of "Oliver! " in the West End of London. While playing the Artful Dodger,Tommy Steele invited Chris to sing a song from the filmIt's all Happening with him live on ITV'sSunday Night at the London Palladium ,The Dream Maker .After the "Oliver!" production successfully toured America in 1964, Chris joined the band
Les Fleur de Lys as vocalist and rhythm guitarist. His vocals are onMud in your Eyes andHold On . Chris' last project with Fleur de Lys was to record 'Reflections of Charles Brown ', released under the name ofRupert's People reaching Top 30 in the UK, and charting in other countries. Not to be confused with "Yesterday Man " Chris Andrews, he has also written and recorded singles under different pseudonyms such as Tim Andrews and Kris Ryder.In 1968/69 as Tim Andrews, he recorded various singles with his friend
Paul Korda onParlophone . As Kris Ryder, he recorded the 1978 album "Kris Ryder" produced byChristopher Neil .His songs have been recorded by such artists as
David Essex ,Roger Daltrey (The Who ),The Casuals and Canadian SingerFlorence Warner amongst others.Most commonly known are his contribution to Radio and Television theme music including the Chart Show, Star Test and Star Chamber.
His more recent project is writing a musical with his fellow Artful Dodger and friend
Davy Jones from the(The Monkees ). Chris also arranges and co-produces a compilation for Davy.Chris is still acting and has just finshed an american production of the pantomine Aladdin in Florida.
