County Route 708, abbreviated CR 708, is two county highways in Camden County, New Jersey, on the streets of Zulker Avenue (first segment) and Walker Avenue (second segment. The Zulker Avenue segment runs for .12 of a mile in Berlin. The Walker Avenue segment runs for .69 miles in Berlin as well. Zulker Avenue has no intersections outside its termini and Walker Avenue has few.

Route description

County Route 708 is split into two parts. The first is Zulker Avenue and the second is Walker Avenue. Both are less than a mile and do not leave Berlin.

Zulker Avenue

Zulker Avenue begins at County Route 561 in Berlin. The road makes a curve and ends at the second segment of County Route 708, Walker Avenue, .12 of a mile after starting.¹ Notable places along the short road include a wetlands mitigation area, which is also on Walker Avenue. Walker Avenue

The second segment, Walker Avenue begins at Route 73 in Berlin. Less than 1/10 of a mile in, Walker meets up with the first segment of County Route 708, Zulker Avenue. The road continues in a straight-ward direction, providing the entrance to a mall. Walker Avenue crosses Lucas Avenue, County Route 561 and ends at Bates Avenue, still in Berlin. The total distance is .69 of a mile.

Developments

In 2006, work began on a wetlands mitigation site on both parts of CR 708. Walker Avenue was also part of the Berlin Circle replacement project, which added roadway widening, reconstruction, drainage improvements and safety improvements for Walker Avenue and several other routes. A connector route, Zulker Avenue Extension was also added from Route 73 to Walker Avenue.
